Dimples - By Lamar Cole

Dimples

Out in the country.
Where life is so simple.
Lives a girl with the prettiest dimples.
All decked out in sundress and sandals.
Wearing a smile so broad and wide.
Brightening up the countryside.
Always happy and sunny.
Nice personality, cute, and funny.
Always a pleasure to be around.
Cutest freckles and reddest hair.
In this small rural town.

If you could take the hands of time and go back - By Nate Tunstall

If you could take the hands of time and go back

What would you change?

Would you change meeting me?

Would you erase me?

Or would you keep me, as I am?

If I had the power to go back

What would I change?

Would I change meeting you?

Would I erase you?

Or would I keep you here, with me?

The answer is obvious to me

I would keep you here

Forever

The way you’re supposed to be,

With me

But is your choice the same as mine?

Do you want to be with me?

Forever?

The way I want to be

Just You and Me.

Ash - By J Z Knowles-Smith

Ash

I knew the end was near,
But arrogance clouded my fear
The cigar ash fell
Straight into the dell
Of my dressing gown sleeve.

I retrieve the ash,
Crumbled and spent,
A husk of past richness.

In years to come I will have
An attentive daughter, a reborn mum
- or a paid nurse to carry me through
the old age curse,
from cradle to hearse.

Then I will be scattered
- relief from life, so shattered -
Like an ashtray, discarded.

Like the Sun - By Ana Jonessy

Like the Sun

The naked earth is warm, and the sea moves in a symphony
Upon ‘er face, lit a smile, like the sun.
Wild berries were everywhere and butterflies danced
Dew glimmers, like the sun.

Kiss Your Tears - By Lamar Cole

Kiss Your Tears

Darling, remember the day.
You felt so sad and blue.
All you wanted in the world.
Was for me to just hold you.
I spent all of that day.
Loving you and kissing your tears away.
So whenever you're feeling sad and blue.
No matter what time of day.
I'll be there for you darling.
To kiss your tears away.

I was Dreaming - By James Williams

I was Dreaming

I would actually like to go to Innisfree,
and a small cabin build there of clay and wattles made,
(and live a peaceful life), a bit of Yeats.

Raindrops Of Love - By Lamar Cole

Raindrops Of Love

My love and I strolled outside.
In the flower garden.
Beautiful and scenic.
It was cloudy in the sky above.
It began to shower raindrops of love.
You and I darling became drenched.
Wet with droplets from above.
Love raindrops look good on your face.
From your lips they gave a sweet taste.
In your hair they smelled so sweet.
Soft rain and you darling.
Heaven's special treat.

The Factories - By James Williams

The Factories

The factories and shops are closing down,
There’s a bad feeling in the air.
It’s happening in so many towns
Many have a look of despair.
Worried about losing their jobs,
How are they going to pay their rent?
Feeling like they are being robbed,
Any savings will be spent.

Is the economy out of control now?
Have the lenders had it too good?
The leaders say they have the know how,
Have the borrowers misunderstood?
Living costs, they keep climbing,
Majority proles on the minimum wage.
There’ll be some spin and denying,
Saying “It’s just a passing phase”.

Give the lower paid tax cuts for a while,
Some cash to spend in the economy.
Give your folks a reason to smile,
Lift your head and get off your knees.
The bankers are scared of losing money,
No faith in any business ideas.
Before, in such a hurry!
Now, worried about their careers.

Let’s Save You From Yourself - By James Williams

Let’s Save You From Yourself

Sometimes in your life
Can you see where you’re going?
Where it’s gone wrong,
Where you may belong.
Then a good friend appears,
Who is sincere,
They talk to you straight
And say:

Let’s save you from yourself –
Take it easy now
Take thing’s slow,
Where you going to go?
Now don’t you know?
Let’s save you from yourself.

An old friend can talk
Empathise and walk your walk,
Let you see the light,
Guide you through the night.
See good reasons why
To give it another try,
Don’t give up the fight
And say:

Let’s save you from yourself –
Take it easy now
Take things slow,
Where you going to go?
Now don’t you know?
Let’s save you from yourself.

My Strength - By Lamar Cole

My Strength

I wake up in the morn.
Sometimes feeling tired and worn.
Through the window comes the morning sun.
Shining on you darling.
My love my only one.
Like a flower needs a bee.
Like a forest needs a tree.
Like Popeye needs his spinach.
I need you darling, my strength.

From Sweet Letter To Dangerous Monster

From Sweet Letter To Dangerous Monster

The Atmosphere was the witness
He watched me as i soar high
And elevated down the floor
It seem so ironic, hoping for a mistake
Glistening upon their acts of parasite

Its so sick, totally its killing me
They may innocent at the first place
But later, they changed their colors
As before a light and silent
Later on, black was govern everything

Its bright was nailed in the inner part
Unwillingness was intensely in frame
It never touch by a merely hand
Not even water dissolved their strength

Sometimes as I pass by to their eyes
They accused me of wearing the guilty clothing line
It breaks my glass inside
And tear apart all my papers
Which signifies the signature in me
The passes through the infinity

Hey, is there any hope in a stalker like me?
I need to shift from this low class human being
To something a head turner in a positive ways
Building again the last integrity
That I had put inside my pocket

Dearest moment, are you still there?
Come, I invite to go with me
As I pull myself out from this tall bottle
Be my stronghold in this opera

To see beyond - By Revolutionist

Worlds Beyond the Mundane Series

To see Beyond

We see the light, the dark night.
We see the sun rise and race back to its hiding.
But we are all in an insomnia,
Never asleep and never really awake.
And not all of us see the magic beyond the mundane.
The insight into the dark, its not sold in the streets.
Only a meager reach the end of the infinite tunnel,
To see what lies beyond.

Ripples - By Lamar Cole

Ripples

White clouds,
Morning breeze,
Ripples in the pond,
Dancing trees.
Tall grass blowing.
Our love growing.
Sunlight shimmering.
Sweet love simmering.

Silhouettes - By Lamar Cole

Silhouettes

On a starry night in June.
Two silhouettes can be seen on the moon.
On a night so cool and fair.
Sweet kisses under the white oak tree.
Two lovers without a care.
The moon seemed to feel our love.
Like the inside of a warm glove.
The moon spoke to us tonight.
As passion reached its greatest height.

My Favorite Flavor - By Lamar Cole

My Favorite Flavor

Cherry Coke tastes sweet.
Mountain Dew is so neat.
But darling, you're my favorite flavor.
The one I always savor.
Sweet as strawberry soda.
Fresh as lemonade.
Smooth like Mello Yello.
Makes me glad I'm your fellow.
Drinking nice and slow.
Satisfies my thirst.
Every part is sweet to the taste.
Not one drop goes to waste.

A Single Tear - By Lamar Cole

A Single Tear

I remember the time we said goodbye.
A single tear fell from your eye.
My love was going away.
On a distant trip today.
Her nearness she knew I would surely miss.
Upon my head she placed a kiss.
Even though she left today.
Her heart never did go away.
Upon a TWA jet she flew.
Up in the sky so blue.
A love so true.
I could still feel her kiss as the wind blew.

Magic Is You - By Lamar Cole

Magic Is You

Bodies swaying to and fro.
To the music of Barry Manilow.
Hearts aglow.
Holding each other on the dance floor.
Dancing until weak in the knees.
To that hip disco music by the Bee Gees.
Ending the night in a sweet groove.
Listening to Neil Diamond.
Voice so smooth.
Music is magic.
And magic is you.
I feel magic to the core.
Whenever I hold you on the dance floor.

My Favorite Dish - By Lamar Cole

My Favorite Dish

A piece of coconut cake,
A cup of ice cream,
A slice of apple pie,
Can all bring bliss.
But darling, you're my favorite dish.
A piece of you.
Topped with love and affection.
Is my one desire and wish.
Served with passion and a sweet kiss.
Life doesn't get much better than this.

Thunder Love - By Lamar Cole

Thunder Love

The moon just went behind black clouds.
Wind whistling loud.
Weeping willows dancing proud.
My sweetheart in my arms.
Nature sounding alarm.
Thunder in our love.
Slow and beautiful like a white dove.

Spring Dance - By Lamar Cole

Spring Dance

Darling, I remember how pretty you looked.
At the spring dance.
Carnation in your hair.
Flowing strapless chiffon dress.
Color of blue so pure.
Lovely as a beauty queen.
Girl of my dreams.
Sweet as a lily in bloom.
Essence radiating through the room.
Beauty and charm a wonderful combination.
You in my arms a sweet sensation.
I feel like I'm king of the world.
Because God made you my girl.
