Dreams - By Lanny Wafer

Dreams

Born 200 years too soon,
Within his heart lies the spirit of the moon
He hunts at night on a horse of white,
his brothers by his side
Overland through fields of green,
With wings across the streams,
in his dreams…

The Visitation - By Lanny Wafer

The Visitation

The purity of her spirit,
the gentleness of her touch,
the endless kindness of her soul.
The way she looks through me to the secrets of my heart,
all but a dream now, a dream I want to keep.
I long to close my eyes, a visit in precious sleep…

Moon Shy - By Lamar Cole

Moon Shy

Dark clouds racing across the sky.
True love began to fly.
In a love nest so dry.
The sky has gone from blue to gray.
The sun tried to peek through.
But the only sunshine in the room today,Was my darling you.
The day turned into a night so crisp and cold.
A million stars dotted the sky.
On my sweetheart and I they did spy.
While the moon seemed shy.

Real Love - Lamar Cole

Real Love

Love that soars above the clouds.
Love that knows no bounds.
Love that always brings a smile.
Love that never goes out of style.
Love that stays around for a while.
Love that brings a beautiful child.
Love that lasts for life.
Love that binds a husband and wife.
This is real love.

Stumbling - By Lanny Wafer

Stumbling

Grey is gone now… days are blue and clear
Yet I try hard to forget, to hide the tears
A moment I do…
then I hear something warmly spoken, another memory of you
the gentle brush your soft touch on my hand
The sweet whisper of your warm lips or your toes in the sand
You smiled at me from beneath your soft golden hair
As if to say not yet; but nearly there
I am awakened from the dark…
I scream your name, gone in a flash a spark
I realize my love is not easily forgotten, not easily lost
my heart as the ocean: wayward and tossed
tomorrow like today memory after memory friend or foe
Will hold on and not let go…

The Sakura Tree - by Dave Winship

Free Poems

The Sakura Tree

Nothing’s certain or guaranteed
Will my heart harden or will it bleed?

If I turn now I know I’ll see
A petal fall from the sakura tree

Passion - By Miss Nicola Button

Passion

I fantasize in my cold lonely bed,
Wishing you were here to share my space
Deep within me sleeps a fire where flames used to dance
As I imagine your gentle yet urgent touch,
My fire gradually awakes
I feel a deepening desire -
I want you fiercely, wildly
My mind becoming engulfed with moans and whispers
We join together as one,
Intertwining and dancing our wondrous dance

Time - By Miss Nicola Button

Time

It had been so sudden but now months have passed
But I still cringe at the mention of your name
You have scarred my heart
Even before we were apart
I am just starting to realize that
I shall never again see those blue eyes
Your love was like salt,
being rubbed into my wounds already carved by your anger,
your ever changing moods
But you won't end me,
I will recover and the blood will stop spilling
And my heart will once again dance

Heavenly Body - By Lamar Cole

Heavenly Body

Ducks swimming in the pond.
I held a star in my arms.
That star darling was you.
On a summer night so new.
Frogs croaking,
Crickets chirping songs of love.
Heavenly body in my arms.
Slowly brewing summer storm.

Untitled Poem - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

The stars come down to earth
On a special plight
To make our lives bright
For kids inexpressible delight
The earth becomes the sky
Our imagination soars very high
The light drives out darkness
As knowledge does ignorance
Even the angels enjoy this night holding the kids very tight
The moon claps with a shout
All religions love light
It is the heavenly sight
May light dawn in our heart!
Loving people is the greatest art.
