Two and two - By Nikhil Nath

Two and two

I write your name
on the new moon

with the fluency
of a dream

eited by choice
on the chopping block

with music thrown in
from the future of arguments

on the butter paper
on anniversary cakes

wearing the candle of time
on the borders of strained

relations, unmindful
of such consequences

we still slip the ring
into each other's finger

hoping two
and two would add up.

Our Love - By Martin Dejnicki

Our Love

I promise to love you, with my heart and soul,
Bringing joy to your life, is my ultimate goal.
I will be good, and loyal to you,
Our bond and our love, let us renew.

Our special love - I must proclaim,
It heats our souls, just like a flame.
Special moments, help it spread,
When we hunger, it becomes our bread.

It does not matter, on the seasons,
For loving you, there’s so many reasons.
You are the one, you are my dear,
Your actions and words, are always sincere.

There’s never a single, doubt in my mind,
That our love, is pure and exceptionally kind.

Each day with you is a special occasion,
We fit together in this equation.

Rain nailed to a cross - By Nikhil Nath

Rain nailed to a cross

I am Sunday and dream
I wonder why Dali stole from Eluard
I hear butterflies in my stomach
I see rain nailed to a cross
I want to run away with revenge
I am Sunday and dream
I pretend to be a Lamborgini
I feel the sun burning my testicles
I touch Dali's pallet
I worry about the honor killing of sand
I cry that the moon never kisses me
I am Sunday and dream
I understand women smell their panties
I say let's not blush over mistakes
I dream about marrying a whore
I try to rid the world of hypocrites
I hope tomorrow will be full of poetry
I am Sunday and dream.

The Spider - By Emily Donalson

The Spider

So dainty trying
So dainty flying

So dainty falling
So dainty calling

So dainty climbing
So dainty rhyming

So dainty sitting
So outwitting

So strong and thrilling
Just sitting
while the world goes by
Yet still so dainty
Just the way God made you

So outrageous
the way you work
Without a smirk
Right from birth
is when you start
your life's long work

Working to eat
Working before sleep
Working to give your eggs a chance

That's a spider's LIFE!

Debate - By Nikhil Nath

Debate

Quick sand, moon
must emerge
from a tired paper
on a table of woes
lost in the fumes
of an argument
over Marx and
capitalism
running a small
rope through the
future of surprise
in the jungle
of inventive lies
sold on the curiosity
of broken glass
falling to dust
on the rampage
of a heated debate.

THE RHYME, MY GREATEST CRIME - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

THE RHYME, MY GREATEST CRIME

For an immature poet like me the rhyme
Becomes the greatest crime
I want to write a poem on a piece of soap
Or the greatness of the Italian Pope
I talk about the faithfulness of a pet dog
Or the great utility of a school bag
I can write a poem on a match stick
Since I feel, for poetry there is no yardstick
Somebody thinks my poetry is rather Awkward
I can no longer go any forward
He feels my poetry is meant for un-schooled
I don’t think I am even a bit fooled
He opines my poems are mere mush
And I am making unnecessary fuss
In fact I am very much cooled
Because I think I am correctly ruled.

Non entity - By Nikhil Nath

Non entity

Its this tumor of shame
this dormitory of lies
this box of brashness
that's brought down
your superego self
caught in the web
of confusion
you are now
a non entity.

A POET IS THE SUN - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

A POET IS THE SUN

The sun sends his gorgeous light
The poet gives us inestimable delight
The sun brightens the world with his glorious rays
And the poet illuminates it with his poetic ways
The sun sometimes hides him self in the cloud
And the poet at gloomy times in the crowd
The eclipse may darken the sun for a while
And the society may subject the poet for a trial
The sun gives us necessary heat
And the poet makes his/her aesthetic feat
The sun is the life giver for the universe
The poet is the truth lover with his/her verse
The poet can view
Where the sun has no clue
I worship the sun god
And adore the poetic lord

Marooned - By Shamika Shabnam

Marooned

It seemed as if yesterday I was high up on cloud nine
The swift breeze of bliss and contentment was wafting all over me,
Like a rapid, galloping horse
The aura of ecstasy was running in every single unit of my body,
I had an astounding sensation that,
there wasn't a second individual with such a splendid lifestyle as mine.

But every captivating dream is followed by a ghastly nightmare
Out of the blue, I found myself marooned in a trapped location
Like a forsaken, abandoned youngster
Stranded in an anonymous island
I had no acquaintances with whom I can chatter merrily
I constantly kept on creating catchy quotes in my constructive mind,
cause I lacked a companion
With whom I can communicate effectively.

The awareness of being marooned was as anguishing and suffocating;
As a helpless sparrow, trapped inside a gloomy cage
The sparrow is a feeble victim,
The cage is its predator
I am a feeble victim,
The trapped location around me is my predator
Who has marooned me to death.

Marooned, marooned, marooned........

JESUS, THE ETERNAL LIGHT - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

JESUS, THE ETERNAL LIGHT

Love is the essence of life
Without which life becomes meaningless
Lesser people may have Familial love
Greater people have universal love
Some live only to eat tasty food
For others they don’t do any good
They are animals in the wood
And enjoy life as long as they should
Some live for only money
Just like bees make honey
Some others live for humanity
It’s the greatest quality
Some lived and died for truth
They sacrificed even their youth
They always followed Holy path
We need their purification bath
Jesus is the eternal light
He makes our lives bright
He is dearly called Christ
And is our universal priest.

THE HISTORIC CROSS - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

THE HISTORIC CROSS

Christmas reminds me of the Historic cross
And the repairable loss
and the inhuman laws
Jesus has wanted to serve his people
And has tried to protect them like his own pupil
Man is an evil by his very nature
He can’t understand Jesus’ ethical stature
And is ignorant of his benevolent feature
Undoubtedly the meanest creature
He has tried to crucify God
It is an inexcusable fraud
Can any human kill the divine Lord?
I believe Jesus is our eternal bard for human good
He has shed his holy blood
Incessant tears come to my eyes like unstoppable flood
Jesus has prayed even for his ghastly traitors
His sanctifying name is written in golden letters
Jesus has wanted all of us to love
And has flown the spiritual dove
He is an embodiment of Supreme sacrifice
May his DIVINE soul purify all human Vice.

Silhouettes - By Lamar Cole

Silhouettes

On a starry night in June.
Two silhouettes can be seen on the moon.
On a night so cool and fair.
Sweet kisses under the white oak tree.
Two lovers without a care.
The moon seemed to feel our love.
Like the inside of a warm glove.
The moon spoke to us tonight.
As passion reached its greatest height.

When - By Lori Spoelder

When

In my heart I know it's you
when I open my eyes to start each day
when I sip my coffee, I feel your smile
when I think of you, there is nothing I wouldn't do
to make you feel secure and want to stay
when I think of you, it's all worthwhile,
when I dial your number, just to hear your voice
hoping to hear you say
"How are you? Is your day going well? I miss you too"
when I feel so scared and alone,
when I feel a warm south wind gently hug me,
I know that you are there and will always be
when I think about my future, you are there
when I think of you,
I want to be there for you, as you are for me
I want to give you strength and courage
Can't you see?
when I think of you, I want you to take my hand
when you are unsteady and only when you are ready
when I think of you,
when darkness falls and the hour is late,
when I close my eyes at night,
is when I think of you,
thoughts so sweet and tender, they cannot wait,
for they comfort me until morning light,
when I think of you
I think of us ...
Forever and always.

HOW I WANT TO SPEND CHRISTMAS - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

HOW I WANT TO SPEND CHRISTMAS

I don’t want to spend Christmas Drinking tasty wine
And dancing with beautiful woman
I don’t believe in the theory of Enjoying a day very merrily
And the other day worriedly
Jesus lived and died For certain divine values
LOVE PEACE MERCY KINDNESS AND FORGIVENESS
The values I cherish
Because only they make me flourish
Or else I will perish
Let’s all the eternal principles nourish.

Fall - By Romatype

Fall

A subtle drift in the leaves announces that a change is soon,
not far in the near distance.
Glancing at the escarpment,
I saw what was the infamous impending doom of storm ahead.
The clouds forming together a tight bond,
a marriage of destruction that waited.
The calmness beneath gave riddance to the doubts
that were pure and true like the open, countryside.
Soon October came and left,
and the darkness swooping in,
circling my dearest fears, left me staring.
Her eyes piercing lightning as the storm came closer
evading the calmness beneath,
and inviting the doomness.
It’s no longer October any longer,
and the leaves are gone and replaced by her rigid frost.
She has no longing for comfort, for warmth.
The ground starts to freeze,
and I begin to slip,
loosing balance, and posture.
Her eyes aren’t brown;
they are gray, dull and low.
My body begins to quiver as the temperature drops,
and my bottomless glass emerges.
I try to prepare for the shelling that invades,
grasping at anything that will save me,
protect me, preserve me.
Self-preservation is furtherest from imminent,
and its been two years since my last tour,
but I can’t avoid it.
I duck but it lowers,
I run but she speeds up.
Her confidence rising, overwhelming,
and it starts to penetrate,
like a cobra striking its prey.
Its no longer a thought, an image,
but its reality, damning me.
It’s December, the calming after the storm.
There’s debris and evidence of her wrath, everywhere.
Her darkness still stalking and haunting me,
like a soldier after his war. It’s December now.

CHILD IS GREATER THAN MAN - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO

CHILD IS GREATER THAN MAN

When I was a child
I used to wonder
What was the cause of thunder?
Why the grass was green
Or the Apple was red
How could water go into Coconut?
Everything fascinated my inquisitive mind
And my heart was incredibly kind
Now I have fifty years old
My heart has become unashamedly cold
I don’t care even if an innocent child
Fell into sinking mud
Or a pious saint was killed in cold blood
And a number of villages were
Marooned by furious flood
Or a heinous terrorist shot
A number of devout pilgrims
Brutally dead
I don’t know whether
The colour of my blood is red
The snow of insensitivity
Froze my childish heart
And destroyed my creative art
The sin of my selfishness
Deleted my human part
And drove out my divine craft.

EAST AND WEST - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

EAST AND WEST

The sun rises in the east And sets in the west
Lord Krishna flourished in the east
And Jesus Christ blossomed in the west
Sanskrit is the purest language
English is the most popular in the present age
Valmiki was a great Indian sage
Thoreau’s each word is an adage
East is famous for spirituality
West is known for material prosperity
Spirituality without prosperity may be ideal
Prosperity with spirituality is feasible
Colonization may be an evil
Even the west was suffered by the devil
I want to be a bridge between East and west
Because I can not say which is best.

The migrating birds - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

The migrating birds

The daughters of India are migrating birds As brides,
they fly with the bride grooms
To far off places of different weathers
And come back to their homes in only festive seasons
We are worried about their wounded pride
Their separation we can no longer hide
As parents we have to bear the emotional tide
We console ourselves they are at their soul mate’s side
Only parents understand the real suffering
Their offspring becomes a distant bird in spring
We don’t know what happens to them in autumn
Their health the cold weather may weaken
Why can’t they stay with mother and father?
I think the Hindu custom is very cruel rather
No sister or brother likes to forego their sibling
The soul mate may be a great king.

THE DIRTY BEGGARS - By NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

THE DIRTY BEGGARS

I am a pure devotee of God
And I go to the temple every day
I am a very strict vegetarian
And keep my body very clean
Yesterday I went to the temple
While I was about to enter it
A dirty beggar touched my feet
And begged for alms
My body was polluted
And I went home
To have a purification bath
And got back and was taken aback
I was surrounded by A host of beggars
Who touched my feet One by one shamelessly
I was totally polluted
My sanctity is unfortunately lost
I will never get God’s innumerable blessings
I will never excuse the dirty beggars for their misgivings .

Wayward Stranger - By Lanny Wafer

Wayward Stranger

River flows wildly
He hears the past call
City lies sleeping
Behind brick walls
Different lives now
A love long gone
His past is blurry
The stranger moves on
No home for his heart
He’s lost in the storm
No comfort found now
Clothes tattered and torn
Left in the cold
Snow piled at his feet
Hungry and confused
Memories so sweet
Weary and alone
He must travel on
He prays for hope
And his love long gone
He feels her soft touch
He smells her blonde hair
He closes his eyes
And she is still there.

WHAT IS THIS LIFE EVEN ON CHRISTMAS? - By JVL NARASIMHA RAO INDIA

WHAT IS THIS LIFE EVEN ON CHRISTMAS?

What is this life even on Christmas?
What is this life If it is full of hate and spate?.
We always suffer from strife
Those who love even their foes are great
Love is the best word to hear
Jesus has created us to have a meaningful life
Then heavenly Father comes near
Jealousy is a double edged knife
Kindness and mercy are the eternal values
Jesus is an embodiment of supreme sacrifice
Religion is not an amalgamation of rituals
But it should keep us away from vice
December makes me remember Jesus Christ
He is undoubtedly the son of God
He is greater than Mount Everest
And relieve us of our fraud.

Inaudible - By GingaBurga

Inaudible

failure to make communicate, i detest
seeping gloom but i try my best
hard to focus, spotlight burning
start to fret, constant yearning

exorcise my poor misguidance,
calibrate my old existance,
dominate my new dependance,

ecstatic painful aura,
my emotion bleeding poorer,
divination's being touches,
inner demons reaching new heights,

amber thoughts chase the spotlight,
weaving, craving, sweet attention,
welcoming renewed neglection,
redefine my cold intentions,

higher feeling keeps me moving,
something tears me, disconcerning,
old emotions eddied softly,
almost consumed by repetition,
holding tight to new ambitions,

breathing faster pain is fading,
my emotions escalating,
my emotions elavating,
my emotions elevating.

my persona, darkness fading,
my persona, darkness fading,
but the dark is only fading,
demon thoughts are contemplating,
evil thoughts have always tainted,

my persona, never fading.

Outsider… - By Lanny Wafer

Outsider…

Like an outsider looking in
Staring in your eyes from above
Your beautiful heart felt grin
I see over your left shoulder
I'll never tell, anything about us
A young man grows older
Lost all but the pictures
In my mind me and you
I don’t lie my heart is true
Don’t leave me yet
I need to feel this hurt inside
Lightning across the sky
Thunder rolls forward… I try
Head follows, heart stays
Still asking how, why
Please I want something To hold on to
More than a faded dream
Grasping for us, losing hope
While around me disappears
Like water down a drain
You were everything
Taken by the wind
To see you again
Makes the fall harder
Your beauty etched in my mind
Can I try to get where I was?
Before your angelic presence
Tore my heart out over and over
I thought angels healed and protected
I thought God remembered my cry
Two steps forward
A thousand back
Can I return to yesterday?
No let me love you
Feel my presence surround you
Throughout your day

Untitled Poem

Amy I hate love and it is one of my fears,
cause when I'm hurt, I cry thousands of tears,
But it changed when I met you,
My heart beating and saying I like you,
I wrote this poem just to say I love you,
Even though you will just say I hate you,
You mesmerized me with your sweet smile,
Just for you, I will cross millions of mile.
