Divorces' Wake - By James Cecil

Divorces' Wake

In solitude, I search for will
To mend my soul, and shed the chill
Of broken love, the loss, and fears
I taste this day- with salty tears.
Memories - are but the foe
That drags my fractured spirit slow
My children’s voices cast no balm
I search for hope, through prayer or psalm.
For only light of each day new
With all its promise, fresh and true
Will lead me to that phantom spark
That draws in hope, and lights the dark.
My friend is time; its patient will
Each passing day make dull the nil
That left me empty - duped of trust
A sunlit day, precedes the dusk.
The Dusk is tired; a weary yawn
My slumbers' calm until the dawn
I wake on wings of pains' full scope
This new day born- I ache for hope.

SYMPATHY - By Sylvia Salima

SYMPATHY

I am trying to say I love you but in my soul it's not right,
I am trying to show you I care, but it never comes out right,
I am trying to make it work, even when I know its falling apart,
Am by you;because I know it is not fair.

Walking out of the door crosses my mind,
Never coming back is a done deal,
How could I when my heart longs for you,
Making up my mind, is harder than it seems,
Am by you, because I know it is not fair.

Longing for another is what my heart does,
Wanting to be yours but my heart cant let go,
My heart tells me am greedy,
What has become of me,
Am by you, because I know it is not fair.

Our hands seem at a side line,
We are either together or falling apart,
I make you happy but my priorities are forgone like the dust,
How can sympathy blend into love,
Am by you, because I know it is not fair.

THE PATH - By Sylvia Salima

THE PATH

Sometimes walking away helps
other times going against the current is a source of strength
Achieving ones dream is better than regret
gaining a trust feels even more better
The heart never changes, the mind never forgets
Ignoring may work, but arrogance gives you more hurt
In the end circumstances lead us to paths we avoid
Courage is the triumph to it all.

REAL LOVE - By Sylvia Salima

REAL LOVE

My love is like an arrow, running faster wont avoid it
Even when you hide, your heart wont change its mind
I can see you pretend, when its written all over your face
What I feel is real

Your tears are like a flowing river
My hand fades them with warmth
The burden must be unloaded, the words are simple
What I feel is real

Seeing you happy is a blessing in disguise
Seeing you smile brightens my day
This love is pure, this love is sincere
What I feel is real.

THE DILEMMA - By Sylvia Salima

THE DILEMMA

My heart has this one beat of only you
My heart has this lock, with a lost key
My heart has this way hard for people to predict
And now I  have a  dilemma of you

I gave up you and I keep walking an endless street
I choose a path harder than a thousand miles
How can I feel, when I had a lock in me
And now I have a  dilemma of you

Time is at hand
Searching for the unknown
Going at a distance when all is close
How could I be searching when the answer was right in front of me
And bow I have a dilemma of you

I got hurt
I hurt you
We both got hurt
We suffered the consequences
I walk in the streets, left in darkness
I was ungrateful, I was not contented
And now I have this dilemma of you within me.

THE IN SCRIPTED TEARS - By Sylvia Salima

THE IN SCRIPTED TEARS

Why do I bother with you:when crying is a repeated theme
Why does my heart want to let you go:but my hands hold on so strong
Why am I desperate for you :when ignorance is what I get
I guess its the love in me :that fools my mind.

Why do my tears tell my heart that crying is not forbidden
Why do I pretend am happy :when in my heart it ain't right
Trying to change who I am is like chasing the rainbow
I guess its the love in me that fools my mind

I keep running a race that the finishing line never appears:
My heart is so pale that I want to grab it from my chest:
Why cant I be happy even when I try so hard:
I guess its the love in me that fools my mind.

I guess its the love in me :that fools my mind:
Sometimes lying to oneself doesn't promise you any price:
Why do I force you to love me;when am never in your mind:
Why does you heart push me:when I gave you a chance in my life:
Sometimes trying so much doesn't suit anyone at all:
Maybe loving me is the answer to it all:
But still the love in me keeps fooling my mind.

The Girl Who Cries - By Christina Barningham

The Girl Who Cries

Black curved lines around two soft eyes,
Lay on the face of a girl who cries,
Tears roll down that bright red cheek,
All because they called her a freak.

The happiness inside her slowly dies,
No sympathy is given to the girl who cries,
All alone with her sadness and pain,
She often wonders what she will gain.

Perched in her room reminded of the lies,
The lies made up of the girl who cries,
No-one believed her or took her side,
The only thing she'd do was sit there and hide.

So if your a bully and think it's right,
Imagine having to cope with your victims fright,
Then picture the horror within her eyes,
Within the eyes of the girl who cries.
