BRIGHTER RAYS - By Sylviah Salima

BRIGHTER RAYS

The rays are brighter, brighter than before,
The closed windows, whispers that echo,
His heart is at place, his thoughts are still,
The rays are brighter, brighter that before.

His heart is sincere, his mind is set,
His stare takes him to after thoughts,
His smile signifies a million words,
The rays are brighter, brighter than before.

The rays that flash back, her thoughts to his,
Her heart that turned to ice
Her smile that gave him hope,
Her memories that bring him to reality,
Happiness is a memory that fades like the sunset
All he is left with are the rays that fade like the waves.

IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW..... - By Sylviah Salima

IF YOU COULD SEE ME NOW.....

If you could see me now, am better and stronger,
The weakness in me faded in time,
The shyness in me was overthrown like the dark clouds,

If you could see me now
Am prettier because I believe in myself,
Am walking tall I made it
I became the someone I was only better
I am what I was supposed to be

If you could see me now
Time made the best out of me
Every word you spoke swept away by my esteem
I didn't have to change who I was
I didn't have to move a muscle
Accepting who I am was what i did better.

If you could only see me now.

I LOVE YOU - By Sylviah Salima

I LOVE YOU

How can I be sad when you made me smile
May the smile last like the colours of the rainbow
May the moments always reflect like the sun rays
May the feelings always grow with time and days
And may our words bond us towards a greater love.

MY PRAYER - By Sylviah Salima

MY PRAYER

My hands I fold in thanksgiving
For the moments I never got to appreciate
For the things that happened and I never realized
For the love people shared and I took for granted
For the thousands things I never mentioned
For the times you blessed me enough and made it more
My God I send my thanksgiving.

THE LETTER - By Sylviah Salima

THE LETTER

At a distance you are like the clouds unreached
With days the love hidden within outgrows
My love letter may the heavens acknowledge
A love conquered the heart pure as the heavens
At pieces I am
Goodbye is harder than it seems

A smile from the soul upon his face
A smile well remembered denied by time
Stronger than the iron the love became
Erasing is just a word mad
At pieces I am
Goodbye is harder than it seems

May destiny lead you to brighter paths
Letting you go is never an option
Hating you is a word used to lie to oneself
Loving you more I would do given a chance at a platter
At pieces I am
Goodbye is harder than it seems

At pieces I am
Goodbye is harder than it seems
Our hearts are one and so I believe
At a safer place I keep you like a jewel
Your hands of love I am resting my letter
Your hands of comfort I rest my plea
Goodbye is always harder than it seems.

You were mine...... - By Sylviah Salima

You were mine......

I am a man:strong is what am supposed to be
How could I cry "that's weakness "they say
How could I still hide you photo
You were mine in another life

They say am cruel evil is my new name
Behind the curtains I die in grief
Beautiful you are like the rose
I lost you to the world
you were mine in another life

I cry in silence comfort is what I give my heart
I hide all the love showing would trigger a war
You moved on easily
I hope part you feels the same
You were mine in another life

Your happy Am your enemy

I look upon in envy
I look upon in love
Am holding you closer each day
You were mine in another life

GOING HOME - By Lynn Hanna Barany

GOING HOME

I want to visit my parent's home
That sits beside the river.
I want to sleep in that special room,
Where the photos were framed in silver.

I want to sit in the kitchen
At that table made of oak,
I will drink coffee with my Dad,
And laugh at all his jokes.

I want to do some shopping,
Just Mom and I alone.
She will say "Hello" to folks
And "look who just came home".

I will go and visit my Uncle,
And he will make me smile.
With all his latest gossip,
Now this could take awhile.

that home is someone else's now,
I can't visit anymore.
W will never sit on their veranda,
Nor have a key to the front door.

Everything has changed for me
My parents are no longer here.
But when I walk along the river
I know that they are near.

What I would give to go back there
To see the boats cruise by.
Oh please Dear God would you hold me
Please hold me while I cry.

NEWBORN - By Lynn Hanna Barany

NEWBORN

Have you ever felt it
A new born baby's eyes
Hold the secrets to the universe
And stories of days gone by.

Have you ever felt it
A new born baby's hands
Have touched another life time,
And lived in other lands.

Have you ever felt it
A new born baby's feet
Have walked in other worlds
And ran on other streets.

Have you ever felt it
A new born baby's mouth,
They want to tell you something
But don't have the words to shout.

Have you ever felt it
A baby's trust so true,
From another place and time
God sends his gift to you.
